Back in '08

Hello again! I stepped out for a minute.

A few things have happened since November:
-I got a Facebook!
-I've seen several movies
-Christmas
-Ran a MNPR Campaign
-Superbowl XLII

And now for a more in-depth look at all of the above:

Facebook

Yes, I finally broke down and got a facebook account. I don't know why, but for the longest time I was adamantly opposed to using facebook at all. It was similar to how I felt about Old Navy until about a year ago. After four months of using it, I cannot see how I used to stand using Myspace. Facebook is superior in every way. Plus, there are a LOT less advertising and useless comments (Free ringtones!) So that's nice. Facebook is also far more aesthetically pleasing. And I suppose the apps aren't that bad. In fact, they're...

And thus ends Part I of my Five part return to blogging!

Priority Report

You may have noticed the lack of posting on this blog. I'm afraid this has been the case due to social and academic ventures of mine and also general laziness. I WILL post soon! Don't worry, this blog has not yet died!

Into the Dark...

I could wait until this picture makes sense with the context of the post, but that'll be a long time...

And now you'll take a trip into the dark recesses of my mind. Please keep your arms and legs inside the ride at all times.

3 Topics of Thought:

Football:
Grandview Heights Football came to a close last Friday. Winning 47-20, the Bobcats finally showed what kind of team they were. Although his first season was less than stellar (3-7), Head Coach Jason Peters has high hopes for next season. I am saddened by the end of football, but I am also looking forward to the nice, long break.

Janitors:
Janitors must be witness to some odd things. Not just peculiar messes but top-secret information and technology. For example, I'm sure the cleaning staff of the White House or even Area 51 have witnessed some fairly odd or disturbing things.

xkcd:
A very strange comic was introduced to me in the last week. It appears to be written by a very intelligent by socially awkward college student. If you frown upon or simply fail to understand surreal or absurd humor, do not even bother. Also, check out PBF. WARNING: PBF may cause Rabies.

Quick News: I helped my Uncle move out of my grandparents house yesterday. He's got a nice place... his roommate is questionable though...

Birthday Post

It just so happens my birthday was yesterday. I am now street legal! In case you do not know, this is a very scary concept. Seeing as I do not yet have the art of signaling, controlling my speed...or even turning mastered, it makes driving slightly difficult.

So far the birthday loot has consisted of witty cards, clothing, and cash. To some this may sound dull, but I am actually quite happy with my presents.

Now onward to the review. Recently (2 hours prior to posting this) I watched the DOA movie. It is a movie based off of the Dead or Alive video game series (A very good series in my opinion). Instead of carrying on about this film in the form of a small novel, I will simply list the good aspects and the bad.

An example of the GOOD (Click for better quality picture)

GOOD:
-Girls
-Violence
-Swords
-Explosions
-Asians

BAD:
-Plot
-Relatively "unrealistic" scenes (10 foot vertical jump etc.)
-The Zack Character (He just sucks!)

So besides what may be considered a weak plot, and the random disappearance of Gen Fu (Old martial arts guy), this movie was pretty good! It's hard to go wrong when swords, explosions and hot girls are in the mix!

Now THAT'S a hit!

Pittsburgh's Ryan Clark in action

This Sunday, the Steelers managed to dominate the Seahawks 21-0. Seattle hoped to avenge their 21-10 loss to the Steelers in the Super Bowl, but instead faced their first shutout since 2000 against Miami. Seattle had several opportunities to make a play, but with Pittsburgh's unforgiving defense, it is no surprise the Steelers won! Go Pittsburgh!
