I have been reading a collection of short stories by H.P. Lovecraft. So far I have read Dagon and The Outsider. Both were not as scary as I had heard. Unless The Call of Cthulhu can scare me, I think I'll be dismissing H.P. Lovecraft's supposed scariness into the dump along with Edgar Allan Poe's "chilling tales".
NOTE: Although some of the ideas represented within the stories are mildly creepy, they still fail to "freak me out".
